Our first espresso in the big, big city of Berlin. Okay, Berlin is huge, very huge and not very beautiful. But Berlin is magnetic. I keep thinking of the days we spent there, walking around Prenzlauer Berg, sitting in tiny cafés (the one pictured above is called Slörm), enjoying the flat we rented. I cannot wait to go back. I'm going to show you more pictures in 2011.

Happy New Year! See you here soon again :)

Before we visited Berlin in late September, we came to Schönberger Strand and Flensburg.

Is it too late for Christmas wishes? I'm so sorry, folks! I'm probably ready to show you my holiday pictures next summer :/

Oh, Sønderborg is worth a visit! It's such a lovely little town.

There are only three days left until Christmas and I'm done with my Christmas shopping. Last weekend, we baked lots of gingerbread cookies. I'm ready for the holiday festivities!

A sunny September day in the Danish town of Sønderborg. The sculpture we found in the harbour was made by Günter Grass.

Lübeck wasn't the northermost place we visited last September. We rented a flat in a small city called Eckernförde and stayed there for a few days. It was so good listening to the gulls strike up their conversations. I definitely miss the sea.

In late September we went to Lübeck, a city north of Hamburg.

There's much to do before Christmas, but I love Advent. We had very cold weather and snow here in Vienna. Many people were complaining, but I liked it - this little big city was so quiet. A white Christmas would be so good.

I want to show you some current pictures, too, but I've still got a few holiday photos left - be sure to check back!
